  The processing methods for flanges mainly include:

  Forging method. Machining flanges through forging can be divided into two types: free forging and die forging. Free forging involves compression processing under a forging press, while die forging involves placing metal materials into forging molds and shaping them through heating, cooling, and extrusion. The flange processed by forging method has good toughness and can adapt to large deformation, but the manufacturing cost is relatively high.

  Pressure processing method. Press the pipe flange to the predetermined shape and process it through extrusion and rolling. The advantage of this method is high machining efficiency, but the surface quality of the manufactured flange is not as good as that of the forging method, making it difficult to meet high-precision requirements.

  Casting method. Create ASME B16.5 A182 F304 300# Forged RF SS Flange using sand molds or metal models. The advantages of this method are low cost, high production efficiency, and the ability to manufacture heavier flanges. However, due to the difficulty in detecting defects caused by pipe flanges, flanges produced by casting methods require strict inspection and testing.

  Cutting method. The material is processed through cutting, mainly divided into two methods: turning and drilling. The advantage of this method is that it can achieve high-precision processing and is also suitable for customized production. However, the metal generated during processing generates a large amount of metal chips, so environmental and equipment safety issues need to be appropriately considered.

  In addition, there are other processing methods such as cold processing, hot processing, turning, drilling, milling, grinding, and cold stamping. These methods can also be used to process flanges, but when selecting, factors such as processing efficiency and quality need to be considered.
