  Typical materials used in the production of EN 10253 Butt Welding Pipe Fittings Tee include grades such as 16Mo3, 13CrMo4-5, P235GH, P265GH, P355NH, and L450QB, etc. Similar to most European standards, the materials too have varying designations, which indicate if the material is to be heat treated, its application as well as its yield strength in N/mm2. For instance, the designations in en 10253-2 p235gh include the letter P, H & G. The letter P stands for steels intended for pressure applications, the letter H stands for hollow section and lastly, the letter G is a reference to its general characteristics.   Butt-welding fittings such as the en 10253-2 type tee is produced with a reduced pressure factor.
